Matlapa Lodge is situated in beautiful, natural surroundings of unspoiled countryside with magnificent views. The chalets are standalone and well spaced in a garden with 70 species of indigenous trees, that of course attracts a wide selection of birds. All you have to do is make sure you have a drink in hand to enjoy the magnificent sunsets.
Each chalet has its own private garden with outside shower. Inside you will find a fireplace where you can warm your feet in winter and we take pride in making sure each chalet look unique and special.
The lodge has a beautiful swimming pool that looks out over the quaint town of Magaliesburg. Inside the dinning room and lounge area you can enjoy breakfast and dinner or just relax and watch some television.
In the surrounding area you can find a selection of restaurants, horse riding, hiking and fun little shops. You can also visit the mine or go candle dipping. Maropeng is less than 15Km from the lodge and is a lovely day trip.
